Application of Mind Mapping as Teaching Material with Focus Group Discussion (FGD) Learning Methods as an Alternative for Active and Critical Arabic Learning
Abstract
Abstract: In the development of this increasingly advanced era, the role of students is expected to be an agent of changes, namely being able to adapt well to the demands of the modernization of the times. Likewise in learning Arabic. This role can be realized by forming the characteristics of students who are active in learning and critical thinking. This can be realized by applying appropriate learning support elements that can provide broad opportunities for students to develop their competencies. Technological advances in today's era facilitate the variation and adjustment of teaching materials. One of them is Mind Mapping which can be used as teaching material. The application of mind mapping can realize students' creativity, activity, and interest in teaching materials. With positive things from the application of these teaching materials, it can also be accompanied by the Focus Group Discussion (FGD) learning method which stimulates students to think critically. Therefore, in this article, we will discuss how to apply mind mapping teaching materials and FGD learning methods in learning Arabic as an alternative for active and critical learning.
