Abstract
This study aims to explain the role of Darul Abror Salaf Islamic Boarding School in Purwokerto in addressing the challenges of globalization through strengthening the linguistic and cultural identity of Arabic Language Education students. Using a qualitative-analytical approach, data were collected through observation, interviews, and literature study. The findings reveal that classical grammar texts such as Al-Jurumiyyah, Al-Kailani, Nadzam al-Maqshud, and Alfiyah Ibn Malik are not only used as tools for linguistic knowledge transfer but also serve as instruments for shaping critical, systematic, and scientific thinking. Through traditional pesantren methods, the teaching process becomes contextual and sustainable. The study concludes that traditional pesantren remain relevant and competitive in the era of globalization, as long as they maintain a balance between preserving classical traditions and adapting to modern academic needs.
