Problem-Based Learning (PBL) Model And Its Application In Arabic Language Learning

Abstract


Learning in the 21st century emphasizes student-centered learning. One learning model that can be applied to make this happen is the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model. PBL is a model used in the teaching process where the model uses problems as material to develop students' skills in solving problems, materials, and self-regulation. There are five steps in implementing the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model in Arabic language learning. These five steps are orienting students to problems, organizing students to learn, guiding individual or group investigations, developing and presenting work results, and analyzing and evaluating the problem-solving process. This article discusses several things: Arabic language learning, Arabic language learning models, Problem-Based Learning (PBL), and the application of PBL in Arabic language learning
