Evaluation of the Use of Arabic Learning Media in Madrasah 'Aliyah Hamid Rusydi Malang: Teacher Perspectives and Student Responses in Learning

Abstract


This research addresses the challenges of globalization in Arabic language education in Indonesia, focusing on Senior High School (Madrasah ‘Aliyah) Hamid Rusydi Malang. The study aims to analyze the utilization of instructional media, student responses, potential successes, and solutions to emerging issues in this context. The research involves Arabic language teachers and students at the aforementioned school. It adopts a qualitative case study approach, collecting data through interviews. The interviews explore the types of instructional media used, reasons for their selection, experiences with their use, and perceived impact. Most students feel that approach limits their active and creative thinking, leading to decreased motivation and low student engagement. This study emphasizes the crucial role of instructional media in education, influencing student motivation and skills. Despite traditional dominance, the research suggests the necessity for educators to adapt to digital media, and students should play an active role in enhancing engaging learning experiences.
