Abstract


Everything in the world is becoming digital with the advancement of science and technology in this modern era, especially in the field of education. It requires us, as educational actors, to work and teach innovation and creativity using modern teaching and learning methods, whether we like it or not, so that we do not lag behind in the development of this era. The learning management system has created the virtual Arabic program “Arabic online” produced by the Saudi Electronic University for non-Arabic speakers such as Indonesians. This research aims to investigate the use of this virtual Arabic program “Arabic online” for the process of teaching and learning the Arabic language in the Department of Arabic Language Education, Jambi State University. This research used the descriptive qualitative research method. The results of the research indicate that this virtual Arabic program “Arabic online” for the process of teaching and learning the Arabic language has stages of study that contain 16 levels, starting from the beginner level until the advanced level. Of course, for all levels in this virtual Arabic program, “Arabic online,” non-Arabic speaking students are encouraged to develop the Arabic linguistic skill, whether it is the skill of listening, reading, writing, comprehending vocabulary, or preparing composition. Especially at level 0, the initialization unit contains material about the Arabic letters and Arabic sounds panel. Each level has 6 units, and each unit has many Arabic lessons
